Flerovium is an element which has an atomic mass of 289 and an atomic radius of 175 pm. It belongs to the period 7 of the periodic table.

It was first synthesized in 1998 by scientists at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, Russia. The name was given to it after Russian physicist Georgy Flyorov. Since then, the element has been produced by nuclear reactors.

Flerovium is a very radioactive synthetic element. Although the element was first discovered, it was not recognized by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) until 2011.

Flerovium was the heaviest known group 14 element and its chemical properties are similar to lead. However, its half-life is very short. In fact, it only lasts a matter of seconds. This makes it the least reactive of its group.

Flerovium is a metal with a melting point of 11+-50 degC. It has an atomic density of 14 grams per cubic centimeter. When in a gas phase, it gives off energy when it gains an electron.

It is expected that flerovium will crystallize in a face-centered cubic structure. Because of its chemistry, it has been classified as a “volatile metal.” But the exact chemical properties of flerovium have not been determined.

The latent heat of vaporization of flerovium is kJ/mol. At room temperature, it is a gas. And its boiling point is 297 F.

Scientists predicted that flerovium would occur in a region of the periodic table known as the island of stability. These elements have a certain number of neutrons and protons and are stable.
